Cooperstown was represented by 13 students who competed in the high school division for the State NASP Archery Tournament held March 15th at the fairgrounds in Syracuse. Hazel Lippitt earned the top score for the Cooperstown team with a score of 259 placing her 20 out of 97.

Friday March 8 was the opening reception for "An Artistic Discovery" at the Cooperstown Art Association. Andrew Bowen and Ciera Emerick received awards for their work. Andrew received a Juror's Citation and Ciera received an Award of Merit. Other CCS participants included Caroline Whitaker, Sam Grigoli, Aislinn Donahue, Ellie Pink, Will Weldon, Jade Brotherton, Arthur Claveranne, and Eliana Torres. Recipients of the Awards of Merit will move on to the next round of the contest, where they will be competing against students from other counties in our Congressional District. "An Artistic Discovery" features artwork by approximately 100 students from Otsego County, representing an average of 8 schools as well as work by home schooled students. Three jurors selected by the Cooperstown Art Association and representing different areas of Otsego County will award six Award of Merits as well as additional juror citations. Stop in and see this exciting and fresh exhibit of work by the young aspiring artists of Otsego County!
