
"Fall down seven times, get up eight". CCS 7th and 8th grade Physical Education classes exercise perseverance while cross-country skiing on school grounds last week.


Mrs. Rusk and her 7th grade Computer Applications students used Sphero robots. For their final exam in the class, students had to program their Sphero to drive for two rounds, then to sumo wrestle for the third round.

6th Graders tomorrow is your Snowshoe field trip to Boonville! The buses will be leaving the Elementary School at 7am. Don't forget a bagged lunch, water bottle and your winter gear!

Cooperstown swim team is taking on Holland Patent at the Clark Sports Center for senior night.


The next 5 Hour Pre-Licensing Course will be offered, February 5, 2019 at 6:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. Cost is $40 cash. Sign-ups are in the JR/SR High School Main Office or call Ms. Alena Krug at 607-547-8181.

6th grade students Hailey, Alissa, Mia, and Grace helped Mrs. Rightmyer introduce our very own Little Free Library, to be placed on the CCS District campus. Look for more information about our Little Free Library in the next District newsletter!



Mr. Ryan DeMars, principal at the Otsego Area Occupational Center in Milford, reviewed Career & Technical Education offerings to our Sophomore students today. Students will have the chance to visit specific programs of interest in early February.


SAT 2019
The SAT prep. course will be offered again Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 9:00 for 8 sessions.
There are 10 sessions set on the district calendar: They are: February 13 & 27; March 6, 13, 20, & 27; April 3, 10, & 24; and May 1. TWO of the above dates will be snow
dates.
The text that is PROVIDED is part of the fee. The price of the course is: $145. Checks should be written
to the Cooperstown PTA. Cash payments will be given a receipt. All money is due at the first class on
February 13th . Sign ups are in the JSHS Counseling Office.

Parents of 2018-19 Graduating Seniors:
As you know, graduation is right around the corner! Please take a moment to review with your student how you would like his/her name printed on their diploma. Take into consideration middle name, initials, capitals, and punctuation. Be sure to provide this information to Ms. Alena Krug in the Jr/Sr High School Main Office as soon as possible, as the district will be ordering these documents soon.

Members of the 6th grade Community recently held a food drive. Today, they dropped off 308 pounds of food to the Cooperstown Food Pantry! We thank everyone who contributed, and we are proud of the leadership shown by our 6th grade students in organizing this food drive.

Letters about the upcoming Junior Ballroom Dance classes and Cotillion were sent home to all 7th and 8th grade students in the mail before the Holiday Break. Grade 4 is busy today preparing for their Colonial Tea this week! Joey, Cameron, and Gavin take turns stirring batter for molasses cake.


Congratulations to the third grade winners, from the Health Fair! Third graders were tasked with creating their own "My Meal Plate" posters for the District.
Each class had one poster chosen by the cafeteria staff.
Winners received a snack of their choice in the cafeteria.
