With pride and excitement, our CCS Kindergarten classroom Teachers Chloe Bellcourt, Christina Harrington, Lisa Lippitt and Maegan Whiteman shared books, created projects and fostered understanding of the incubation period of hatching chicks.

June 14, 2019 (Cooperstown, NY) - As part of their final project, the Cooperstown Central School Sociology Class volunteered yesterday at the Cooperstown Food Pantry. Students from Jenn Pindar’s CCS Sociology Class unloaded over 18,000 lbs of food contributions to the pantry. In addition, they donated 64 lbs of food and $360 in monetary collections by CCS students. The Cooperstown Food Pantry reports that each pound of food donated to the pantry equals the value of $1.67. For every dollar donated allows the Cooperstown Food Pantry to purchase $10 worth of food from the Regional Food Bank. Great work CCS Sociology Class! The volunteer efforts of these CCS students and staff, along with the generous donations of those who contributed to the effort, will allow the Cooperstown Food Pantry to purchase over $3,000 in food and personal care items from the Regional Food Bank.
