Cooperstown Elementary School students welcomed Daniel Jude Miller last week, children’s author and illustrator of "Monsters in Manhattan" books, "Everybody Wake Up" and the much anticipated "Halloween Boy and the Christmas Kid". Miller is working with several CCS 5th and 6th grade students to support work on his first novel. Students will spend the next month reading the first half of Miller’s book presented and provide feedback before Miller writes the rest of the story. The author was initially inspired to write the novel after having lunch with these students during an author visit and workshop at CCS last spring. At the time, the group brainstormed ideas to help Miller begin writing the first half of the book. Stay tuned as CCS students continue their workshop experience with children’s author Daniel Jude Miller.
