Thursday, October 3, 2019 (Cooperstown, NY) - CCS 7th/8th grade students had the opportunity to camp overnight in the Catskills this week. CCS Physical Education teachers Monica Wolfe and Mike Niles led students through the Kaaterskill Falls Trail and experienced North Point, Boulder Rock and the observation deck of the Kaaterskill Falls. CCS Elementary students continue to enjoy our dog therapy friends who visit classrooms on a regular basis and enhance student activities in reading, math and language. Therapy dogs provide physical, social, cognitive, emotional and environmental benefits to students throughout the building. Cooperstown Elementary School is still collecting dried-up markers to send to Crayola to be recycled into energy-efficient fuel. Used markers of any brand can be dropped off at the Elementary School to be ColorCycled. So far we have ColorCycled 6,310 markers since October 2017.

Tuesday, September 24, 2019 (Cooperstown, NY) - Enrollment is open for the 2019-2020 academic year of the Cooperstown Head Start program, a preschool program offered through Opportunities for Otsego. Children must be 3 years old by December 1, 2019 and live in a household whose family meets the Head Start program income guidelines in order to qualify for enrollment for Fall of 2019. September 18, 2019 (Cooperstown, NY) - Cooperstown Central School will host CCS 2019 Homecoming beginning the week of September 29th. Daily themes for the week have been designed by CCS Student Council and CCS Athletics will host several events on home fields. The 2019 Homecoming Week will begin with a bonfire on campus on September 29th and includes three separate evenings of events under the lights, courtesy of donations from the Cooperstown Sports Booster Club.
