The CCS Music Department presents the Junior and Senior High Winter Concert on Tuesday, December 12th at 7pm in the N.J. Sterling Auditorium.

On Thursday November 30th a group of National Honor Society students, Violet Gentles, Margret Raffo, Fin Morgan, Srikar Ketharaju and Onyx Loewenguth. Not pictured Lucy Hayes, she is taking the picture, took time to volunteer at the local food pantry.
These 4 Cooperstown swimmers pictured left to right, Brendan Heavner, Theo Fuery, London Kinley and Creighton Williams were walking from CCS to Danny's on Main Street for a meal before a recent swim meet. On their way they came across a senior gentleman on the ground in a grassy area in the village. He had fallen, he was possibly injured, confused and quite cold. These young men provided assistance and helped him back home. One was calling 911, others were making sure he was okay. They certainly displayed two of the 4 "C's" of a Cooperstown athlete, "C" oopererative and "C" lassy with this act of kindness.
Quiz team working hard on an early Friday morning. They finished second at Ithaca in the small school division. Their next tournament is in January at SUNY Oneonta. The coaches are Mr. Iversen and Mr. Bauer
Picture Make-Up Day for the Jr./Sr. High School is coming up on December 7th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Anyone may be photographed on Make-Up Day. In order to receive a new printed package, the original package should be returned to the photographer on picture day. New cash/check orders should be given to the photographer on picture day and online orders may be placed once the personalized digital proof or proof sheet is received by the customer. The forms are the same from the original day, and if you need a new form please stop by either the Main Office or Mrs. Schallert's room.
Please note, the online ordering code has expired. There are no online pre orders accepted for makeup day; Upstate Images will send proofs after the photos process. (Online orders must be placed using the online code on the proof sheet.) The transition from preschool to kindergarten can be a time of excitement but it can also be a source of anxiety. Transitions are made easier when families and providers
understand the process. This workshop will help participants to understand the transition process, to be an active member of the transition team, to understand the difference between services in CPSE and CSE, and to understand the purpose of an IEP. Parents will come away from this workshop with a better understanding of what to expect as their children move on to kindergarten.

The freshmen student government and freshmen class will be hosting a Holiday Food Drive for canned goods and nonperishable foods for the Cooperstown Food Pantry. Donations can be dropped off in the bin in the Junior/Senior High School foyer from November 1st through November 21s. Students and faculty in all grade levels are welcome to donate.

The Junior/Senior HS SADD Club sponsored Mrs. Karen Torres today for an excellent and powerful assembly for the 9-12th graders. During her presentation, Mrs. Torres spoke about the dangers of distracted driving . WKTV was in attendance to cover this event.
