BREAKING NEWS regarding Regional Girls Basketball Games hosted by Section III at SRC Arena. Games will resume this Saturday with NO SPECTATORS in attendance. Only players and bench personnel will be permitted to attend along with officials.


Several members of CCS Litmag acted in and attended Voices for the Voiceless, a play written by Kristen Jastremski and Jeannine Webster, to raise awareness for refugees seeking asylum in the United States. CCS Litmag members Alex Bohler, Emma Pastor, Sofi Jones, and Ray Hovis are pictured left to right at the event. Emma is editing footage from Voices for the Voiceless for an entry for the Stronger Than Hate Challenge. Sofi is entering the LEAF Art and Poetry Contest. Alex is collaborating with other club members on a submission to the Robert F. Kennedy Speak Up, Sing Out songwriting contest. Ray has been selected for the New England Young Writer’s Conference at Middlebury College in May, specializing in poetry. He is the fifth Litmag member/contributor to be awarded this prestigious honor in the past four years.


CCS 7th grader Punya Phaugat won The Daily Star Regional Spelling Bee at SUNY Oneonta on Saturday, March 7th. She competed against eighteen other schools and went to 17 rounds to defeat the speller from Stamford Central School on the word turnstile. Punya and one of her proud parents have won an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., courtesy of The Daily Star, to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Come on out to support our Girls Basketball Team as they play in the Regional Finals this Saturday. Cooperstown will play Unatego in SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College. The game is scheduled to start at 5:30pm.

A hard fought battle came up a little short for our boys Basketball team today vs. a strong Weedsport team. We are so proud of your accomplishments this year. Congratulations to Ryan Lansing and Kaishaun Jefferson for being selected to the All Tournament Team.


Cooperstown wins the Section 3 Girls Basketball Class C Championship today. What a great performance. Congratulations to Weedsport on a fantastic season.
