Tuesday, November 10, 2020 (Cooperstown, NY) - CCS Licensed Teaching Assistant, Alex Siracusa, is working as a student teacher this year as she completes her Masters Degree in Education.  Last week Ms. Siracusa worked with Mrs. Coleman’s 2nd grade students as they talked about democracy, the voting process, Election Day and the importance of exercising your right to vote.  After learning about the process, students participated in a mock election to choose a class mascot among children's author Mo Willems book characters, Piggie and Gerald.  When the votes were counted, Piggie narrowly beat out Gerald for the win with CCS 2nd Grade students.
