School Monitor

The Cooperstown Central School District has openings for School Monitors to work full-time, 10-month, offering $19.17 per hour plus benefits, per the Service Unit Contract.  Successful candidates must be available Monday through Friday when school is in session.  In this role you will assist in supervising recreation, student arrival, and departure, recess, lunch and study halls.   

Teacher Aide

The Cooperstown Central School District has openings for Teacher Aides to work full-time, 10-month, offering $18.43 per hour plus benefits, per the Service Unit Contract. Successful Aide candidates must be available Monday through Friday when school is in session. In this role you will assist special needs students under the director of a teacher. Skills required include; but are not limited to, the ability to establish good relationships with children and others; familiarity with classroom routine; good background or knowledge in specific field where specialized duties are involved; ability to maintain confidentiality, discipline; tact; courtesy; and good judgment. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma. Certification not required.

Secretary 10 Months

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Secretary.  This is a full-time, ten (10) month position offering $22.15 (Beginning July 1, 2024) an hour plus benefits, adheres to the Service Unit Contract.  The successful candidate will support the Director of Physical Education & Health, Extracurricular Activities, and Athletics as well as the Jr/Sr. High School main office. 

This secretarial position requires computer knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, organizational skills, attention to detail and exceptional quality of work.  The candidate must have good interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and be able to interact with staff, students, and community members.

TEACHING POSITIONS

Special Education Teacher Elementary 1-6 and/or Secondary 7-12

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Special Education Teacher for Elementary 1-6 and/or Secondary 7-12. This position is full-time, ten (10) month with an attractive salary and benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will work in a classroom for students with disabilities.

Current New York State certification in Students with Disabilities is required, additional certifications are a plus. Secondary English Teacher

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an anticipated September 1st vacancy for a Secondary English Teacher. This is a full-time, ten (10) month position offering an attractive salary and benefits package per the Faculty Association Agreement. Salary commensurate with experience. Successful applicant must hold valid New York State certification in 7-12 English Language Arts.

 The basic function of the position is to provide leadership to students in grades 7-12 in guiding the development of each child to the fullest extent of his/her ability in accordance with the principles prescribed by school philosophy and objectives. The teacher is directly responsible to the Building Principal.

COACHING POSITIONS

ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION

Principal 7-12

The Cooperstown Central School District seeks a visionary leader to serve in the position as Secondary Principal. An administrator who can collaborate with the school community in creating an engaging learning environment that prepares students for college/career in the 21st century. The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight of the 7-12 Junior/Senior High School Building composed of seventy staff members with approximately 400 students offering a robust curriculum with opportunities to take Advanced Placement, honors level, and dual credit courses.
