Superintendent Secretary/District Clerk

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Secretary to the Superintendent and District Clerk. Position is full-time, twelve (12) month, Exempt Civil Service position offering a competitive benefit package. Salary $40,000.00 – 50,0000.00 (plus $5,000 stipend for Clerk responsibilities) based on preparation and experience. District Clerk is expected to attend and record Board of Education meetings.

Director of Facilities II

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director of Facilities II .The successful candidate is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the custodial and maintenance activities of a School District’s buildings and grounds department. The work is performed according to established policies and procedures and in accordance with applicable State, local, and federal laws, rules and regulations which apply to school district facility operations and maintenance. Although certain activities are performed in the office, the incumbent of this position will, on occasion, be required to perform maintenance and repair related tasks and activities, which may be performed indoors or outdoors under adverse working conditions

Speech Language Pathologist

The Cooperstown Central School District seeks a dynamic and innovative candidate for Speech Language Pathologist. Qualified candidates will possess appropriate NYS school certification in Speech/Language required (candidates who just completed a certification program will be considered). Preferred candidates will have their NYS License of Clinical Competency and experience working with Special Education students.

School Monitor

The Cooperstown Central School District has openings for School Monitors to work full-time, 10-month, offering $19.17 per hour plus benefits, per the Service Unit Contract.  Successful candidates must be available Monday through Friday when school is in session.  In this role you will assist in supervising recreation, student arrival, and departure, recess, lunch and study halls.   

Teacher Aide

The Cooperstown Central School District has openings for Teacher Aides to work full-time, 10-month, offering $18.43 per hour plus benefits, per the Service Unit Contract. Successful Aide candidates must be available Monday through Friday when school is in session. In this role you will assist special needs students under the director of a teacher. Skills required include; but are not limited to, the ability to establish good relationships with children and others; familiarity with classroom routine; good background or knowledge in specific field where specialized duties are involved; ability to maintain confidentiality, discipline; tact; courtesy; and good judgment. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma. Certification not required.

Principal

The Cooperstown Central School District seeks a visionary leader to serve in the position as Principal. An administrator who can collaborate with the school community in creating an engaging learning environment that prepares students for college/career in the 21st century. The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight of the educational programs, composed of one hundred and forty (140) staff members with approximately 800 students offering a robust curriculum across two buildings; Elementary (K-6) and Jr./Sr. High School (7-12).

Director of Special Education

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director of Special Education to provide leadership and direction in all aspects of Special Education at CCSD. This position includes Chairperson duties for Committees on Special Education, supervision, and evaluation of special education teachers, and related service providers (including school psychologist, speech/language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and I.E.P. Aides).
