Tuesday, November 10, 2020 (Cooperstown, NY) - CCS Students in Mrs. Sciallo’s AP Literature class had an opportunity to visit the “Same Their Name” Memorial outside of Doubleday Field in Cooperstown. Ms. Jennifer Dibble met students there to give some background about the installation, the process of bringing it to Cooperstown, and share some of the stories connected with the memorial.. Students in AP Lit are studying The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and recently learned about Emmett Till’s murder in 1955 in Money, Mississippi. Till’s photo appears on the memorial wall.
