Cooperstown Central School District is proud to announce the appointment of Kristin Butler as Junior-Senior High School Principal, effective July 1, 2019.
A 1999 graduate of Cooperstown Central School, Mrs. Butler has served the district for the past thirteen years in both instructional and administrative roles, most recently as the Director of Curriculum Development and Assessment. She has in-depth knowledge of NYS Learning Standards, curriculum, and quality instruction through her development of various trainings for district staff and subsequent support for teachers.
“I’m very fortunate to be able to work with an experienced staff who have expertise in both their content area and in developing adolescents,” says Mrs. Butler. “It is very special to have lived and worked in this school district for many years, including my own K-12 educational experience. I hope to bring consistency for students, families and staff. Interacting with students is what I look forward to the most as I enter this new role and phase of my career. I am excited to work alongside our students and teachers to enhance programs and continue the long-standing expectation for success and putting students first. Building relationships with students, families and staff will support our school in improving student outcomes and opportunities.”
