January is national Cervical Cancer awareness month

Greetings,

January is national Cervical Cancer awareness month.  More than 14,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer each year. The Human Papillomavirus (HPV)  accounts for a large percentage of cervical cancer and precancerous diagnosis. HPV also can cause other cancers including throat cancer.

There is a vaccine available for HPV.  Please post the attached health awareness slide to your school websites and social media pages. Thank you for helping to spread the word about this vaccine.
