Cooperstown CSD has a new procedure for reporting an absence. Rather than calling school, please use our new online form below. Please complete this form by 8:30 AM every time your child will be absent from school, whether it is a full day or partial day absence.

Excusable Absences

Absences are excusable for the following situations:

• Illness

• Illness or death in family

• Unsafe travel conditions

• Religious observance

• Medical/dental appointments

• Participation in a school-sponsored activity

• Approved academic visits

• Military obligations

• Reasons tied to legal proceedings, i.e., court appearance (documentation must

  be provided)
