Cooperstown CSD Begins Preliminary Review to Support Future Planning
Dear Cooperstown CSD Community,
Cooperstown Central School District is beginning a short, preliminary review to help organize current information about district programs, operations, facilities, staffing structures, student supports and resources.
Leadership Solutions Advisers, LLC will assist the district with this work by reviewing existing information, visiting district buildings, and meeting with a cross-section of administrators, faculty and staff. This process is intended to help district leaders and the Board of Education better understand current conditions and identify questions that may guide future planning.
The review will focus on information that is already available, along with input from staff members who work with district systems, programs and students each day. The goal is to develop a clearer picture of what is working well, where there may be challenges or pressure points, and what areas may need closer discussion in the future.
The consultant team will be on site June 4 and June 5. An initial update is expected to be shared with the Board of Education on June 17, with a final summary anticipated by the end of June.
This is an information-gathering process. No decisions about future changes have been made as part of this review. If additional study, planning or action is considered in the future, the district will continue to communicate with the school community.
Any meaningful conversation about the future of a school district should begin with a clear understanding of current conditions. This review is intended to support that understanding and help ensure future discussions are grounded in accurate information.
Thank you for your continued support of Cooperstown Central School District and our students.
Sincerely,
John Evans
Acting Superintendent of Schools
Cooperstown Central School District
