COOPERSTOWN – The Center State Conference (CSC) recently announced its girls basketball all-star selections following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
Section III coaches from Divisions I, II and III selected this year’s all-stars.
For Cooperstown, eighth grader Emma Johnson earned CSC Division III MVP honors after an outstanding season for the Hawkeyes. Johnson averaged 20.6 points per game while also leading the team with 134 rebounds. She tied for the team lead with 17 blocks and finished second on the team in both assists (37) and steals (29).
Cooperstown’s CSC all-star selections included:
- MVP and First Team: Emma Johnson, eighth grade
- Second Team: Lanie Nelen, freshman
- Honorable Mention: Deanna Wolfe, freshman
In addition, the New York State Sportswriters Association (NYSSWA) recently announced its 2026 Class C girls basketball all-state teams, with two Cooperstown players earning recognition:
- Fifth Team All-State: Emma Johnson, eighth grade
- 10th Team All-State: Lanie Nelen, freshman
Two Hawkeyes also earned recognition on syracuse.com’s 2025-26 All-CNY Girls Small School Basketball Team:
- First Team: Emma Johnson, eighth grade
- Second Team: Lanie Nelen, freshman
