Cooperstown Elementary School students from UPK through 6th grade were treated to a morning of live music as the award-winning Cerus Quartet performed in our NJ Sterling Auditorium on Thursday.

The saxophone quartet paired new music with classical mainstays during their innovative performance and kept students engaged with frequent interaction throughout the show. They even played a game with the students that involved the quartet playing classic tunes from various Disney movies and having students guess the movie that song was featured in.

A short Q&A session followed the performance, providing students with the unique opportunity to interact with four professional musicians. Questions ranged from asking the quartet members where they were from and how they met to what types of music they listen to and what other instruments they enjoy playing.
