Our 6th graders recently had a fantastic experience during a hands-on visit from board-certified dermatologist Dr. Dowd.

Students learned all about the structure and function of skin, as well as practical ways to care for it. One highlight was a fun and memorable activity in which they simulated a clogged pore using Vaseline and sand.

Dr. Dowd also helped normalize conversations around acne, giving our students confidence and reassurance during this stage of growth.
