SCHOOL COUNSELOR (Full time) - Re-Posted: July 28, 2022

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a School Counselor to serve students in grades 9-12. This tenure track position is full-time, ten (10) months plus up to fifteen (15) additional days in the summer. Offering an attractive salary and benefits package per the Faculty Association Agreement. Salary commensurate with experience.

The primary objectives and efforts of the Counseling Department at CCS are directed toward students as dynamic individuals with boundless capacity to learn. Qualifications/Responsibilities: NYS Certification as a School Counselor required

Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Establish positive relationships with community agencies to support students and families

Maintain a proficient working knowledge of a developmentally and culturally responsive school counseling program

Provide individual counseling

Provide services to support students in meeting/achieving their educational, personal-social, career and post-secondary goals

Proactively engage and collaborate with students, staff, parents, and administration

Support students’ academic and social emotional needs through a multi-tiered system of support

Participate in Child Support Team meetings, CSE meetings, 504 meetings, and other committee/team meetings

Pursue continuous professional development

COORDINATOR OF ATHLETICS AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (Full Time)

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking qualified applicants for its next Coordinator of Athletics and Extracurricular Activities. The successful candidate will possess the following skills/experience: Familiar with all State, Center State, Section, and District rules, regulations, and policies. Knowledge and experience with all levels of sports (Modified, Junior Varsity and Varsity). Competency regarding computer skills, data entry and applications. Attention to detail, organization, communication, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. The Coordinator of Athletics and Extracurricular Activities reports to the Junior/Senior High School Principal.

The term of employment is twelve (12) months full-time salaried position, requiring availability during the regular school day, in addition to after school hours. A competitive salary in the range of $50,000-$65,000 will be offered that is commensurate with experience.

The Coordinator of Athletic and Extracurricular Activities will assume responsibility for all interscholastic athletics and extracurricular activities offered to students in accordance with Board policies, New York State Education Department and New York State Public High School Athletics Association.

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST (Full time)

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a School Counselor to serve students in grades K-12. NYS School Psychologist certification is required. Experience in behavioral psychology is desirable. This position is full-time, ten (10) month employment with a competitive salary and benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience. General Statement of Duties: The primary function of the School Psychologist is to provide preventive, diagnostic, and counseling services for individual pupils and groups of pupils and to provide parent and teacher support/consultation. These services will enhance understanding of self and increase effectiveness in dealing with the educational and social environment.

SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS (multiple positions)

The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of School Bus Driver. This is a part-time, ten (10) month position with a competitive salary and benefits package. Successful candidate is required by NYS Law to hold a valid CDL Certificate License and be available during the hours of 6:30-9:30 AM and 1:00-4:00 PM Monday through Friday, when school is in session. District incentives for reimbursement of cost for licensing requirements.

TEACHING POSITION

ANTICIPATED ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM TEACHER

The Cooperstown Central School District is anticipating an Elementary Teacher opening pending enrollment as of September 1, 2022. Applicants with a concentration in reading and/or math is desirable. CCSD is actively recruiting hard-working, dependable individuals to be a part of our Substitute staff. Looking for applicants that are flexible with their hours and understand the potential for short-notice contact. All substitute positions are on an as-needed basis. The pay rates are equal to the NYS minimum wage as set forth in the Minimum Wage Act (Article 19 of the New York State Labor Law) of $13.20 per hour for the following positions:
