The Cooperstown Central School District seeks a qualified candidate as a long-term substitute School Bus Monitor to ride on a school bus with one or more special needs students. Successful candidate must be available Monday through Friday when school is in session, for both the morning run 6:45-8:00 am and afternoon run 2:50-4:00 pm, for the remainder of the school year, ending on June 26, 2018.

Minimum requirements: Successful completion of the 10-hour basic School Bus Monitor and Attendant course and good physical condition. Reimbursement for training will be provided by District.

Salary: $11.10 per hour

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – part-time position

The Cooperstown Central School District has an immediate opening for a part-time Occupational Therapist, working twenty-six (26) hours per week, beginning on/about January 1, 2019. The successful candidate will work with students in a range of learning environments. He/she will provide quality school-based occupational therapy services, which includes but is not limited to assessment/evaluation, intervention/treatment, IEP planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication between teachers, teacher assistants, related service providers, and families. This is a part-time, ten (10) month position with a competitive salary and benefits package.   • CLEANER (morning and/or afternoon). Performs routine building cleaning, laundry tasks, and semi-skilled maintenance tasks; does related work as required. This is manual work of a routine nature requiring efficient performance of cleaning, laundry, and semi-skilled maintenance operations for school buildings, grounds, and equipment. Individual has to have the ability to work independently.
  • BUS MONITOR (morning and/or afternoon). The position helps the bus driver by assisting in the supervision of transported pupils. This is work of ordinary difficulty involving responsibility for assisting bus drivers by performing assigned routine tasks including the supervision and care of transported students.
  • FOOD SERVICE WORKER. The position is routine work involving the preparation and serving of food on a moderately large scale and the cleaning of kitchen equipment. Some lifting is required. Candidate must be available during the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, when school is in session.
