CCS Thespians will present their annual fall musical Thursday, November 8 through Sunday, November 11 in the N.J. Sterling Auditorium of the Cooperstown Junior-Senior High School. This year’s show is Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”, the classic family-friendly undersea fairy tale. The show features more than thirty students singing, dancing, and acting, and another twenty behind the scenes and in the Pit Orchestra, all supported by more than 80 terrific costumes; a visually and technically interesting set; and the classic songs of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman including Part of Your World, Under the Sea, and Kiss the Girl. We are particularly proud to announce that one of the big numbers features tap choreography by CCS junior Riley Bowen. You won’t want to miss this show!
Show dates and times are as follows:
*7:00 p.m. on November 8, 9, 10.
*2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the main office of the Junior-Senior High School beginning one week before the show. Tickets will also be available at the door. Senior Citizens residing within the Cooperstown Central School District are eligible for complimentary tickets, but are asked to secure their tickets in advance if at all possible.
The CCS Thespians is an extra-curricular group consisting of students in grades 9-12. This year’s show is directed by CCS Vocal Music instructor Timothy Iversen, with musical direction by Kerri Hogle and Peter Daum.
