Cooperstown Thespian’s highly anticipated production of Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.”, directed by Cooperstown Music Department faculty Kerri Hogle, will ring in the 2019 Cooperstown Central School Arts and Music calendar with performances on Friday, January 25th at 7 p.m. and Saturday, January 26th at 2 p.m. in the Sterling Auditorium.
Catch a ride on the magic carpet as CCS Junior High School students take to the stage once again to celebrate their 2nd annual musical production. “Aladdin Jr.” is the stage version of the beloved Disney movie that features popular songs “A Whole New World”, “Friend Like Me” and “Prince Ali”. Don’t miss the magical Genie as Aladdin is transformed into a prince and tries to win the heart of Jasmine while Jafar has other plans. Will good win over evil, and will Aladdin’s wish come true? Don’t miss these two performances by CCS Junior High School students, with vivid stage production, a talented musical pit of regional artists and over 30 CCS students, as they come together on stage in Sterling Auditorium for an exciting experience for all ages.
Young audiences are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes to the performances that celebrate the characters of this popular Disney production. Stick around after the show for photo opportunities in the auditorium with CCS student artists in their production costumes. All tickets can be purchased at the door: $5 for children, $10 for Adults and $30 for families.
