He’s known at Cooperstown Central School as a dedicated, hardworking and compassionate employee.
And at the CCS Annual Alumni Banquet last month, Dave Sellick was recognized with the Class of ’54 Service Unit Award.
The annual award is given to a support staff individual who demonstrates to the selection committee superior dedication, work, attitude and/or other service to Cooperstown Central School District.
Although Sellick was unable to receive the $600 cash award in person at the banquet, he recently was able to accept it.
“It’s a real honor,” Sellick said as a he took a quick break from bus maintenance Monday afternoon.
Sellick has been a bus driver/mechanic for nearly 14 years at Cooperstown Central School District. He’s also a 1994 graduate of Cooperstown Central School and said he loves his job.
“He’s a very good person. He’s a hardworker who does a great job for the district,” Interim Superintendent Michael Virgil said.
