36th Annual Crayon Carnival set for Saturday, March 10

| March 8, 2018

The Cooperstown PTA Crayon Carnival, a much-loved community tradition, returns for its 36th year this Saturday. The Crayon Carnival, the PTA’s largest event and biggest fundraiser, will be held in the Cooperstown Jr./Sr. High School Gymnasium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day will feature delicious food, carnival games and prizes, a raffle of wonderful gift baskets, the annual “Cake Walk”, Junior Cupcake Boss Competition, displays from Oneonta World of Learning, a special visit from Dan the Snakeman, BJ the Clown, face painting and more! It’s certain to be a day of fun for everyone!

Returning this year to the Crayon Carnival is the cultural exhibition, “The Great American Tapestry.”  The Tapestry will showcase the diverse cultures and organizations found within our very own community that weave together to create one united Cooperstown. Various members of our community will be on hand to share pieces of their rich cultural history. The Great American Tapestry is an interactive, collaborative and exciting addition to our Carnival.

The mission of the Cooperstown Central School Parent Teacher Association is to be a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child. The PTA enhances and supports CCS at the elementary, junior and high school level by raising funds and directly channeling those resources back into the school to provide enrichment opportunities for all children.

All proceeds from this event benefit the students of Cooperstown Central School.
