Fill your bucket with good character!
The Law of the Lid
Every bucket has a lid! This month we taught students that their buckets need protecting. We can choose to put our lids on when we know someone is about to dip. Actions such as walking away, asking the person to stop or ignoring are “lid” actions. Students also learned that sometimes they might have to help a friend put their lid on by standing up for them when they are a bystander to bucket dipping. It’s hard when we use our lid not to want to dip back. Instead, we stop, think , and figure out what we can do. That is the sign of a bucket filling skill for life!
