New York State Regents Exams

Cooperstown High School recognizes the importance of the NYS Regents exam.   Successfully completing each Regent exam in a particular subject area reflects that a student has attained an established level of competence as proscribed by the New York State Learning Standards.   After much research, discourse, and feedback from NYS Department of Education officials, the Board of Education supports the recommendation of the administration that Regent exam grades not be part of a student’s overall G.P.A.   Any questions/concerns on this topic may be directed to the high school principal and/or guidance counselors.
